I started this company in Northern Virginia in 2018, buying houses in DC, Maryland, and Virginia. A few years in, life moved us to St. Augustine, Florida — and the company came with us. So these days we buy in Florida too, but we never stopped working the DMV. Same company, same counties, and our number still starts with 703.
Why this business? Because not everyone can — or wants to — list with an agent. Some houses need too much work. Some timelines are too short. Some situations are too tangled for showings and open houses. We buy those houses directly, for cash. And we try to be straight about whether that’s actually your best move: if we think there’s a better option than selling to us, we’ll tell you so.
How we actually work
The conversation and the offer are free, with no obligation — we don’t charge you anything to talk. Where we’re based, and the fine print: home base is St. Augustine, Florida, and we buy across Florida, Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, DC. I individually hold active real estate licenses in Maryland and Virginia, and that’s disclosed in every transaction — but Consistent Homebuyers is not a brokerage and doesn’t act as your agent. Away from work it’s family first around here — usually with the family dogs, Marlee and Tucker, supervising from the yard, and a trail day whenever we can get away.
